“En plein air or plein air painting, is a phrase borrowed from the French equivalent meaning “open (in full) air”.

I just love painting outdoors. The ‘water-cooler’ moments in studio can be different when you are a person who works alone.
Everyone who creates in solitude needs to reconnect.
Plein Air painting for me is a great ‘aligner’ and a direct connection to the live wire of nature. It returns me to the element.
Later in the studio, this re-connection and immersion, allows me to add a more connected truth to my conceptual work.
