‘HALCYON FIELDS’ Series – painting a rural landscape before development 2023

Recently, over 2000 houses began construction on my local peninsula. As a local artist it was my duty to record in paint what our landscape was before. I attempt to record the ancestral memory of the land. I caught it just on time. Building began just as I finished. I have drawings and photos to inspire me to continue this pastoral landscape series. Ireland needs houses. My duty is to paint.
