Biog - Robert Shaw b. Dublin, Ireland 1964

Shaw studied Fine Art at Dun Laoghaire School of Art, Dublin Ireland.

His studio is situated near the coastal village of Malahide north of Dublin, Ireland

Robert Shaw has been painting professionally for over 15 years years and has established a growing reputation in Ireland and internationally.

He as exhibited extensively in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

His work is also strongly influenced by the rich historical and spiritual heritage of the Irish landscape and sea. His work is also inspired by his maritime heritage. His grandfather saw the Titanic at Cobh and witnessed the victims of the Lusitania.

Shaw exhibits at Pont Aven, France

Shaw has recently been honoured to be the first non-French artist in forty years to be represented by the esteemed Galerie Artis, Pont- Aven, France.

This village is at the historical heart of impressionist painting.

He is currently exhibiting his highly successful 'Beacon' paintings there and has begun working towards a major exhibition of figurative paintings at Pont -Aven in Spring of 2016.

Some of the 'Beacon' series exhibited  are a part of this French exhibition.
